Use Keywords Effectively to Boost Your Rankings

If you're in the game for free traffic, you'll most likely be looking at SEO as your main source, especially considering there are more then 1 billion searches performed everyday on Google. Even as we progress into a more social based internetwork, search engines still maintain their large amount of internet traffic, and I doubt that this will end any time soon.

However, one thing that people don't seem to grasp is keywords and how to target them effectively. Instead, they think that just by writing a post or article with a catchy title they will flourish and get their respective post or article ranked highly in the search engine.

Over the past few months I've conducted a lot of article marketing work, and quickly progressed learning several things that pertain entirely to keywords and how they are used, an outcome which resulted in huge surges in traffic.

1) Longtails: I always prefer to target the longtail keywords related to my niche. They are far easier to rank for with a lot less competition. I needn't spend ages writing out articles, digging them, building links to them etc, I can simply produce the article and have it ranking on the first page of Google within 3-4 hours. I think of it as picking the lower hanging fruit, it may not taste as good, but there's far more of it and added up gives far more traffic then targeting a short tail keyword.

2) Titles, Metas and URL: You must use your keyword in your title, meta tags and urls. These are what the search engines primarily feed off in order to index your articles or posts in the right place. I've found that use of the keyword first followed by a | or - and additional arbitrary text like "Get it for FREE" is the best way to go for titles. Likewise, try and use the keyword first in your meta's as well.

3) Post or Article Uniqueness: Despite all the myths and theories of the keyword density required for your post or article to get ranked highly and all the responses to such theorems, I've built my own conclusion. It doesn't matter what penalties incur, it's simply a question of whether or not it affects your rankings. In my honest opinion it definitely does have an effect on rankings, however use of a simple spinner will set that right. I prefer to use PAR (Power Article Rewriter) which is brilliant as it uses the spinner syntax "{word1|word2}".

4) Bolding and Headers: Bolding and headers are another way to use your keywords effectively. Try to include a h1 tag of your keyword somewhere in the article (preferably at the beginning) and tags where the keyword is dispersed throughout the article. Don't overdo it, but doing it a fair amount definitely helps.

I think that amount sums it up. Here's a little equation to show you the outcome of my article/posting efforts.

Number of articles: 40
Unique articles: 2
Article rewrites with PAR: 19 x 2
Time required for article rewrites: 20 minutes
Time required to post to directory: 1 hour 20 minutes
Uniques a day: 500-600.

Is It Smart To Use Long Tail Keyword?

Keyword invaluable part of Search Engine Optimization, everything the search engine optimizer does goes around the keyword. Keywords can be classified into two main categories, the short tail keywords and the long tail keywords. The term ‘long tail’ was coined by Chris Anderson. He used it to describe the strategy of targeting less-competitive niche markets rather than the hugely competitive short keywords. A long tail keyword is like targeting a keyword "Web Design in Los Angeles" while short tail keyword would target "Web Design" only.

The Long tail keywords are those three and four keyword phrases which are very, very specific to whatever you are offering. Short tail keywords are good, in fact they are great but market on short tail keyword is so saturated and the competition is very, very tough. If you were to target short tail keywords, you will be competing with websites who has years of conversion data, an older trusted site, tons of content, and thousands of organic inbound links. Try to beat them right from the start for the most potent high-value keywords and you will likely fail.

If you are newly launched website and try to compete on the competitive keyword first, you are likely to rank in page 2 or page 3 or farther. And it is a common knowledge that less 1% of internet users goes beyond the page 2 of the search result. The visitors you might get would not be self-sustaining and your online business will be sent into its natural death just like thousands of websites before you. Meanwhile, long tail keywords have less competition, and are thus far easier to rank to. For instance the keyword “web design” returns about 318,000,000 search results and you will be competing against sites like Wikipedia and sites that was "there" maybe before you born. But if you target "Web design in Los Angeles" you have less competition with barely 43,900,000 competitions. Plus you can rank for long tail keywords much faster, because you control your on page optimization.

Another benefit of long tail keywords is that the visitors that came in through long tail keywords have high conversion rates and ad clicks. According market research, whenever a customer uses a highly specific search phrase, they tend to be looking for exactly what they are actually going to buy. In virtually every case, such very specific searches are far more likely to convert to sales than general generic searches that tend to be geared more toward the type of research that consumers typically do prior to making a buying decision. When your business becomes self-sufficient and you have build a revenue stream, you can eventually target for more competitive and more valuable keywords. By focusing on the second tier and third tier keywords first, you enable yourself an opportunity to earn the exposure needed to rank for the core keywords. It is long and tedious process, but eventually you could get there

Rank High In Google within 20 minutes

This SEO TIPS is one of the most perfect weapon if you want something like your blog or site to be rank in google in less than 10 minutes

I tell you my little secret ,

Their was a time when I feel like giving up because I don't like reading and am so impatient. which in comes to Google ranking..

but the moment I found this sort of seo tips over some site.. It made me realize that it;s not that hard to get quickly rank in google..

Ok,
This method can work great but I have not tested it enough to see how long my pages rank for but they seem to be good as of now but I havnt have any pages up for more than a day.

This method will work great with google trends and a blogger with come CPA’s… be creative. The point is, I ranked on the first page at #7 within 15 minutes and over 2 million SERPS on the top volcanic google trends search.

Anyways,
Write a complete unique article with a high keyword density in a Microsoft word document. Do some keyword research if necessary, or just use google trends given related searches as your main keywords. Use these thick throughout the document.
I don’t know the details why this is important, I just know that it works. Add any links to a blog or clickbank product and submit to Scribd.com. After submitted, make sure you fill in the description, tags, and all of the information until you get a medium to high findability score. (you will know what I mean when you upload.)

After it is uploaded, share it and post the link to Digg and Reddit.com. Those are the only 2 I have used and using those two and a short 1 paragraph article got me ranked number 7 with over 2 mil. SERPS

Anyways this method is still in testing but I have consistently gotten ranked in the first and second page every time. Please tweak and make this method better and share your results because I have shared my findings with you.

Hope this powerful SEO TIPS will help you to be more knowledgeable in search engine optimization
